Blogging for Books - The Bridge of Peace by Cindy Woodsmall
This was a wonderful book that explored the relationships of a group of friends living in an Amish community in modern times. The Bridge of Peace is the second book in the "Ada's House" series. I read this book without having read the first book in the series. At first, I was concerned that I would be "lost" and not know what was going on, or who the characters were. This was not the case. Soon after starting the book, I was hooked and felt as if I knew the residents of Dry Lake and Hope Crossing. Cindy Woodsmall does a fantastic job of exploring each relationship in the community. The reader is able to learn how each member of the community interacts with every other member. At one point, I was half-way through the book and thought I would read one chapter before going to sleep. I absolutely could not put the book down and read for hours!
