Homemade Pizza Rolls

While we were spring cleaning a few days ago, we needed a snack.  It was time to go to the grocery store, but I checked out the fridge to see what we had.  Pretty much our "basics" really!  I decided these little guys would be the perfect snack to hold us over!  They were super easy too! :)

  • 1 can crescent rolls
  • marinara sauce of your choice (we used some kind that had spinach in it...yummy!)
  • shredded cheese (Colby-Monterey Jack for us)
  • block of Mozzarella cheese
Follow the directions on the crescent roll can for what temp to preheat your oven to (may be different for different brands or varieties.)  Unroll the crescents and lie them flat on a cookie sheet.  Spread some marinara sauce on top.  Cover with shredded cheese, and place a tiny block of mozzarella cheese in the center of the biggest part of the crescent.  Fold in the two corners on the short end of the crescent and fold down just a little bit. Bring the longer end of the crescent around to wrap the "toppings" inside the pizza roll.  Sprinkle with a little more shredded cheese and bake according to the directions on the can! :)
