I started this blog a few months after Adam and I got engaged.  At the time, I didn't know if this blog would become a journal for just me and my family to read, a place to show what I was working on for my wedding (I wound up creating a separate place for that here ), or a place for recording married life.  Considering all of that, I appropriately named it after us… not overly creative, no, but it left wiggle room for whatever would come of this blog! A lot has changed since 2008 - we got married, lived on campus, lived off campus, I started new jobs, we got two pets, we moved, we both started new jobs, had a baby, he started a new job, and now I'm going to be a stay at home mom to a one year old at the end of this month! I think it's safe to say that it's time for a blog name change!  We're more than just A and W now…so, I guess I'll be brainstorming that…any suggestions? In the meantime, we're planning his first birthday party! Soon, I'll post s...

I just finished a new design that I'll be listing in my etsy shop later this week sometime...I call it the "Ruth eReader Cover" after my grandmother's cousin, who is the first owner of this design! Per her suggestion, there is a pouch on the back for keeping a pair of reading glasses....so you don't have to look for them! This was designed for the Kindle that measures about 5"x7" but I can adjust it for other sizes of course! Let me know what you think!

I've been MIA in Etsy & my blog since we moved.  This is largely due to the fact that we don't have the super-fast, unlimited internet that we had in the Residence Hall on campus.  This is also partly due to the fact that I work "normal part-time" hours now (unlike when I was on campus, when I worked nights...so I had all day to craft! :) )  But, I'm determined to make time to craft! :) I have all morning and weekends, so why not, right?? Therefore, I'm slowly re-opening my Etsy shop! I've got two things listed right now, and I plan on adding more things soon! Once again, I have Passport Covers.  They'll be made-to-order because I sold out of the pre-made ones I had at the house. I've just been reading around BlogLand, working on a meal plan for March, hanging out with the sister-in-law (we went to a wonderful women's conference at church...it was a lot of fun and we learned a lot!! :) ), finishing up a purse I've been trying to design this week (it's a simple, yet complicated idea because you have to "think outside of the box"), and working on my What I Wore Wednesday post during the week. I've been introduced to Big Cartel lately.  At first, I couldn't quite tell the difference between that and etsy, but after reading Mandy's comparison here  everything was clearer! :)  I've been considering this for a little while, and now it's happening! I've started a Big Cartel shop, but only for my father-in-law's artwork.  I've decided this way, I don't have to list a quantity and pay per item (considering we have oodles of packs of notecards...listing each one would cost a small fortune!) Plus, I can group the notecards into one or two groups.  I'm working on adding some of his original watercolor pieces, as well as some prints.  Right now I have a few of each.  I'm still using the free account, so I can't add more unless I....1. group some together like I did with the notecards or 2. upgrade (which is a possibility in the future!) Adam and I have been Christmas shopping for quite a few months now.  We decided we may as well buy gifts for people as we seem them in stores and say, "Such-and-such would like this..." rather than hoping we remember what the potential gift was...and where we saw it...several months later.  Anywho, that said, I sometimes use that "we're shopping for Christmas all the time" excuse as a really good reason to browse on Etsy and see what others (or I) might like to have.  I've been eye-ing quite a few great gift ideas the last few months and gave in and bought something for us! :) That said, I just got something in the mail today that made this cold rainy day more exciting! Thursday I ordered this really neat Christmas decoration from  Candy Apple Designs  on Etsy.  It's a vinyl that she's made for you to put on one of those glass blocks.  I know Hobby Lobby has some with holes cut in them for lights, or you can just put a light behind the block. I feel like it's been forever since I've posted...but it's only been like a day and a half!  I guess I was just super busy the last few days!  I've had a few quizzes (not super time consuming really), a paper to write, a camp check-in (love them!  It's a twirling camp that my Mom actually went to when she was in high school, and now they're staying in my building!), and I've been sewing! :)  After I whipped up five passport covers like mine (talked about it in that last post ....) and a custom one for Donna at My Shabby Chateau ! :)  I love it so much! :)  Adam looked over while I was sewing on the button she picked out and he said it looked really great! FYI: Keep your eyes peeled for this fabric again soon! :) ((MOM <3 )) :) :)

In case you haven't looked at my etsy shop , stop by!  I've got several sets of watercolor notecards listed, painted by my father-in-law.  And just now, I've added a listing for 5 passport covers I made tonight! :)  I've made it so you can have a choice in what button you have on front.  I'm so excited!! You can ask Adam...I've been talking everyday for the last...two weeks....about how I want to make something to put on Etsy!  After I made my passport cover (because I wished I had one when I went to France)...I was already thinking about making more and listing them, and then I had a few several people confirm that for me. Right now, I only have one blue paisley design listed, but I've got LOTS of fabric here I can use.  Adam voted I make some Auburn colored ones, of course.  So I'm sure I'll list some of those soon! :) Anywho, I'm excited! :)
